Three injured as Russia target Odessa’s energy infrastructure overnight

As a result of the Russian attack in Odessa, infrastructure facilities and civilian buildings were damaged, reported the Head of the Odessa City Administration Sergei Lysak.

Three people were reported injured, with two admitted to hospital, while a fire broke out in a residential high-rise building, while damage was also caused to a store and a car repair shop.

Governor Kiper later updated that men aged 62 and 65 were admitted to hospital, one of them in a moderate condition, and the other in a critical condition, while an injured woman was provided assistance at the scene.

One drone hit an apartment on the upper floors of a multi-story building, while hits were also recorded on storage facilities and a car repair shop, as fires also destroyed two cars.

Another drone fell near a private house damaging the facade and windows, and one fell on the territory of a garage cooperative damaging seven garages and two cars, clarified Kiper.

Odessa State Emergency Services confirmed that all fires had been extinguished this morning.

As a result of the attack, the DTEK Odessa Electrical Networks energy facility suffered repeated damage: “The damage is colossal, and it will take a long time to repair the equipment and restore it to a working condition,” the company noted.

Due to the power outages in water supply systems, consumers of the Kyiv district and parts of the Hadzhibey district, along with several villages, were left without water, while other residents were suffering from a drop in pressure.
