At least 3 killed and 18 injured as Russia attacked Ukraine in the past 24 hours

Dnipropetrovsk Governor Alexander Ganja reported that the 13-year-old girl who was injured during a Russian attack on February 14th in the Pokrovsk community shouldn’t have been at home, but despite the fact there was a forced evacuation in the community whereby families with children had left, the girl along with her mother had returned.

“During the forced evacuation, the mother took her daughter away, but then she returned with her to sort out property issues, however, no one had been informed about their return, so fortunately their injuries were not serious, and the girl will be treated as an outpatient basis,” confirmed the Head of the Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk.

Throughout February 15, Russia struck the Dnipropetrovsk region almost 10 times using drones, artillery and aerial bombs, causing a fire to break out that destroyed one private house and damaged two others in the Synelnykove community, and Nikopol district centre was also targeted, reported Ganga.

According to the Kharkiv Governor Oleg Sinegubov, Vilhivka and Statine were hit during the past day by Russian attacks, with a warehouse and a house damaged respectively, while the railway infrastructure and power grids had been hit in the Lozova community.

Kherson City’s Governor reported that Russia shelled five populated areas of the city overnight, damaging housing, a school and a nearby car, while two people were reported as injured.

However, Kherson Governor Oleksandr Produkin noted that 30 populated areas of the region had been attacked over the past day, causing damage to five multi-story buildings and five private houses, along with an administrative building, a store, gas pipelines and nearby cars.

On the morning of February 16 at around 7am, Russia shelled the city centre of Kherson, injuring a 65-year-old man who was walking the street at the time, Produkin reported, noting that the man was admitted to hospital in a moderate condition with an explosive injury and multiple shrapnel wounds.

Odessa Governor Oleg Kiper reported that the energy workers had completed the repair of the emergency section, after part of the region was left without electricity yesterday because of an accident on the premises of one of the energy companies – the affected areas were mainly a part of Odessa and Chornomorsk.

Sumy Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar reported yesterday that an attack on a medical facility in Sumy resulted in more than 25 windows being damaged, as the attack caused a fire to break out in the building of a private medical centre located near the hospital.

An attack by a Russian drone on a house in the village of Pidlozievka in the Chernichchinska community resulted in severe damage to the property, but no one was in the house at the time.

On the night of February 15, a Russian drone attacked a children’s rehabilitation centre in the Shostka community, damaging the offices of specialists, the reception desk was destroyed, windows were broken, as a fire broke out that burned furniture and equipment, but there were no casualties, and the damages are being assessed.

City Mayor of Konotop Artem Semenikhin stated that no casualties were caused following a Russian attack on an infrastructure facility.

Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Oleg Grigorov reported that a man and a woman were injured as a result of a Russian attack in the Okhtyrka district, which also caused damage to a company’s buildings.

Russia attacked a car with civilians in the Velikopisarivska community with a drone, injuring the 43-year-old driver, while a 54-year-old resident detonated a mine, reported the Prosecutor’s Office, noting that the victims were both in hospital receiving the necessary assistance.

Zaporizhzhia Governor Ivan Fedorov reported this morning that six people were injured in the past day, as Russia carried out 668 attacks on 32 populated areas of the region.

Russia carried out 13 aerial attacks, used 359 drones of various types, attacked 6 times with MLRS and 290 times with artillery shells, resulting in 74 reports of damage to housing, cars and local infrastructure.
