Six killed and 37 injured as Russia continued to attack Ukraine in the past 24 hours

Last night the Russians launched 187 drones over Ukraine, of which 165 were suppressed or destroyed by air defence systems, but 20 drones hit targets in 14 locations, the Armed Forces reported this morning.

A 67-year-old man was killed and his wife was injured in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv when a Russian drone completely destroyed their house, reported Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov.

Four people, including a teenager, were injured in the Zaporizhzhia region during attacks, reported Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov, noting that a woman was killed in Orikhiv as a result of artillery shelling and 17 people were injured in total yesterday, while this morning a 71-year-old man was injured in the Polohivsky district, a resident was injured in Orikhiv and a man was injured after several drones struck Vilnyansk.

Russia attacked an hotel in the Sumy region, and struck again as the rescuers from the State Emergency Services were extinguishing a blaze, but 50 people were successfully evacuated from the building, while the regional administration reported a 14-year-old was injured by debris in the Velikochernetshchinskoe district and was examined on the spot after a shard hit his phone when the teenager was near his home.

A three-year-old girl and a 44-year-old  man were injured in Odessa, while the port infrastructure was also attacked by drones, causing damage to warehouses, production facilities, and company equipment, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper.

Following four strikes with artillery shells in Kramatorsk yesterday, a woman born in 1989 and a man born in 1979 were injured, according to Head of the Regional State Administration Alexander Honcharenko, while Anastasiya Medvedva from the Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported two people were killed and another injured following two FAB-250s hitting Druzhkivka at 10:30am.

A 73-year-old was injured yesterday and is being treated on an outpatient basis, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Alexander Ganja, noting that a multi-apartment building and 10 private houses were damaged, while Deputy Head Mykola Lukashuk reported there were no casualties from overnight attacks, despite damage to a private house in Marganets and a fire in a house in Pokrovsk.

Medical assistance was required for a 61-year-old woman who suffered a concussion, a brain injury and a mine-explosive trauma in yesterday’s shelling, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Olexandr Prokudin, while the regional police reported a 40-year-old man was injured from an explosive object in Arkhangelsk and was admitted to hospital with both hands amputated and a facial injury.

Also in Kherson yesterday, a 52-year-old woman was killed and a 69-year-old woman from the Shipbuilding strict of Kherson suffered a concussion, an explosive and closed head injury and shrapnel wounds to her right forearm after an attack at 14:15,  while an attack at 3pm injured a 62-year-old man who was taken to hospital with a concussion and a mine explosive injury, 

Russia also injured caused injuries to two people with an attack after 16:00, where a 63-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a concussion, explosive and closed head injuries and a 60-year-old woman was given medical assistance on the spot, then an attack at 17:30 killed one person and injured 5 others as well as damaging private and multi-apartment buildings and civilian infrastructure, reported the Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
