During the past day, damage was recorded to six private houses, outbuildings, a lighting line and a gas network in the Sumy community, power lines in the Mykolaiv community, a road surface in the Okhtyrka district, as well as three private houses destroyed, and damage to power lines, the forestry administration building, garages and cars in the Shostka district.
Russia struck with an FPV drone which wounded a 56-year-old man in the community of Velykopsarivska, while another 56-year-old man who was injured on the previous night because of an FPV drone attack had sought medical help.
Drones attacked the Sumy community last night causing four people to seek medical help in the region’s medical facilities, including men aged 50, 55, 63 and 64.
In the Bilopilska community a woman aged 64 who was injured as a result of FAB strike on October 8 had sought hospital care.
According to the Sumy Regional Police Department, the Russian army attacked the territory of of the Sumy region 45 times in the past day, attacking 28 settlements.
Russia used up to 20 FABs, almost 10 drone strikes and 10 VOG drops from UAVs, as well as artillery, MLRS and FPV drones, causing damage to civil infrastructure objects in the communities.
Despite the air raid alert lasting 15 hours, rescuers worked with the local authorities to evacuate 8 people from the border communities.
An attack this morning on the settlement of Mykolaiv has left some of the region without power, and repair work was ongoing to reconnect supplies.
