Alexander Avdeev updated residents via Telegram of a drone incident that had caused a power outage in the early hours of this morning, stating that services were standing by to reconnect the services by daylight.
However, this morning there was no reports of drones being intercepted or destroyed over the Vladimir region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defences’ daily updates.
Videos captured by locals and CCTV systems showed what appeared to be impacts in the region of the power station, as air defences operated for more than 60 seconds attempting to intercept the drones.
Sources indicated the target was the PS Vladimirsakya 750 kV plant, which was also targeted on the night of October 31.
According to Crimean Wind, this is one of the most powerful electrical substations in Russia, and has a huge strategic and technical importance for the Russian power grid.
